Register with RNR Lettings

This is your first step to renting your new home!

You can call us on 0118 957 1800 and register your details over the phone, or feel free to pop into our town centre offices. Once we understand your property requirements we will be able offer you a selection of suitable properties.

Viewings

Good properties always let quickly, so to secure a property which matches your requirements we recommend an early viewing.

We can chauffeur you to your viewings, so you arrive in a relaxed frame of mind and will accompany you throughout, so that we are on hand to answer any questions immediately and advise where necessary.

Agreeing the let

Once you have chosen a suitable property you will be asked to complete an offer form, where you may state any special conditions of your offer.

We will always put your offer forward to the landlord but often you may have to meet the asking price to secure that perfect home. Once your offer has been accepted you will soon be renting your new home!

References / tenancy agreement

The let depends on assessment of your references.

Any applicants above the age of 18 will be required to complete a reference form. Any applicant who is a student or is unemployed may require a guarantor. The references are assessed by a third party specialist agency.

All applicants above the age of 18 will be required to sign a tenancy agreement prior to check in. We will also require you to complete a standing order form for future rent collections.

Deposit

It is normal practice for the letting agent or landlord to hold a deposit for the property. This is equivalent to 1.5 months' rent. Providing the property is returned at the end of the tenancy in the same condition in which it was received, the deposit will be refunded in full.

All deposits have to be protected by the governments Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) which provides peace of mind for landlord and tenant alike. We are a member of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, which is administered by The Dispute Service Ltd.

Move In

Once cleared funds have been received and the necessary paperwork has been completed you will be handed the keys to your new home.

Don't forget...

  • There will be people and organisations who you should tell your new address as well as redirecting your mail by the Royal Mail.

  • You will need to arrange home contents insurance as your landlord’s insurance will not cover the things you own. We can provide recommendations if required.
